Sustainable Dinner Train Experience on our moving historical train! The bar car opens at 5:00PM for you to enjoy pre-dinner drinks! Arrive early and board our bar car before 5:30PM to receive a complimentary glass of bubbly! The train departs the station at 6:00PM for a one-of-a-kind, approximate 2 hour dining experience!
Enjoy a delicious, farm fresh, 3-course meal while viewing the ever-changing scenery travelling past the towns of St. Jacob’s & Elmira! Your scrumptious meal is sourced, prepared, and served by local Mennonite ladies from this community.
This artisanal dining experience will provide exquisite, fresh ingredients as listed below:
August 9th Menu
Starter: Soft and fresh, homemade bread with butter along with a pickle tray featuring locally pickled mini corns and beets.
Entree: Succulent oven roasted chicken seasoned with fresh and flavourful rosemary & fennel. Served with a side of poutine including steaming chicken gravy and fresh, locally made cheese curds as well as freshly cut off the cob, sweet, buttered corn.
Dessert: Delicious, homemade, dutch apple pie and/or sweet peach pie with the option of à la mode. Served with freshly brewed, hot coffee.
August 16th Menu
Starter: Soft and scrumptious, homemade bread with butter along with fresh, crisp mixed greens salad with delicious balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
Entree: Tender and juicy, thick cut pork chops covered in a creamy mushroom sauce. Served with a side of locally grown roasted baby potatoes sautéed in herbs and garlic, and fresh green beans with delectable roasted almond accents.
Dessert: A delicious, out of the oven, steaming bowl of apple crisp with the option of à la mode. Served with freshly brewed, hot coffee.
