Santa’s Countryside Ride

The holiday magic comes to life!

Santa loves trains and he has just let us know that he will be able to spare some time during his busiest season for a fun filled train ride.

All aboard the Waterloo Central Railway for a Christmas train ride!

Join us at the Farmers Market Station adjacent to the St. Jacobs Farmers Market and board our annual day time Christmas train experience.

While on this heritage train, passengers will ride through the Waterloo countryside from St. Jacobs to Elmira while enjoying festive carols, Christmas crafts, a holiday dance party, and, of course, a visit from Santa!

Children young and old will enjoy this special experience unique to the Waterloo Region.

We also offer Santa’s Christmas Caboose, a fantastic musical and lighted night-time adventure.

Seating & Ticket Types

COACH CAR
Our standard coaches offer traditional rail seating in groups of four.

FIRST CLASS LOUNGE CAR
This car features soft, upholstered chairs in
spacious surroundings.

Get your tickets soon.  Seating is limited.

Your journey begins at the WCR Farmers’ Market Station located at 330 Farmers Market Road between the St. Jacobs Farmers Market and the Value Village Shopping Centre.

Free Parking is available in the Value Village parking lot located off Farmers Market Road which is adjacent to our station platform.

There are no refunds unless the WCR cancels a train. Missed trains or bad weather will not be refunded.

What to Bring

Don’t forget:

• Wear your Christmas attire

No food or drink (except bottled water) permitted to be brought onto the train. Please help keep our trains clean by disposing of your water bottles after use.
