WCR 37 Tank Car

WCR 37 Tank Car

The tank car was built by Union Tank Car Company in 1968. The car was owned by the Canada Starch Operating Company -Casco Inc. and used by the company between 1968 and 1993. The car was numbered CSTX 37.

In 1993, the tank car transferred ownership from Casco Inc to Ontario Southland Railroad (OSR). The car was renumbered to OSR 37 and was using by OSR for 9 years.

In 2002, the tank car was rebuilt and donated to Southern Ontario Locomotive Society (Waterloo Central Railway) by Ontario Southland Railroad. The tank car is used to hold water for our steam excursions.
