Skip the hassle of traffic and parking and ride the train to and from the Elmira Maple Syrup Festival! Waterloo Central Railway provides service from Northfield Drive (connects directly with the Northfield ION Station) in Waterloo and the St Jacobs Farmers’ Market to Elmira on the day of the festival. The Elmira Maple Syrup Festival is recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the World’s Largest Single Day Maple Syrup Festival. Don’t miss out on all the fun for the whole family!

Waterloo Central Railway is proudly operated by the Southern Ontario Locomotive Restoration Society (SOLRS), a not-for-profit, registered charitable organization. We are operated by a very talented team of volunteers who are dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and operation of historical railway equipment. All ticket proceeds go towards supporting restoration programs that are ultimately used for the education and enjoyment of our guests and to perpetuate the history of railways in Canada.
