The Waterloo Center Railway operates year-round daily from 0600 to 2300 hours with scheduled, chartered and special passenger train service. CN operates freight services overnight on the Waterloo Spur from 2300 to 0600. As a not-for-profit heritage organization, we are operated primarily by volunteers and will reply to your inquiry as soon as possible.

RAILWAY OPERATIONS
For any work to be done or to be anywhere on, about or over the Waterloo Spur from Northfield Drive in the City of Waterloo Mile 4.73 to the end of track in Elmira at Mile 11.89 from 0600 to 2300 hours daily please contact the WCR to arrange for the required permissions, safety documents, and flag protection to be on the property of the Waterloo Spur during those times.
RAILWAY EMERGENCIES
In the event of a railway emergency or malfunctioning signal equipment on the Waterloo Spur Line, please contact the Canadian National Railway. The CNR maintains the Waterloo Spur under contract with the Region of Waterloo.
