Celebrate Thanksgiving weekend with a special heritage ride behind Steam Locomotive No. 9 (MLW 0-6-0)!
Join us on Sunday, October 11 for a round-trip steam excursion from our WCR Farmers’ Market Station to Elmira and back, departing at 11:00 am and 1:30 pm.
Sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of steam as No. 9 travels through the beautiful fall countryside and farming landscape of Waterloo Region.
As part of your journey, passengers will have the opportunity to take part in a classic steam run-past. Guests will be let off the train at a designated location to photograph and watch No. 9 pass by under steam, creating a unique opportunity to see the locomotive in action with the countryside as the backdrop. Once the run-past is complete, passengers will reboard the train for the remainder of the journey.
The run-past is weather permitting and will not take place if conditions are rainy, wet or muddy.

There are no refunds unless the WCR cancels a train. Missed trains or bad weather will not be refunded.
