Step aboard for an unforgettable evening as the Southern Ontario Locomotive Restoration Society celebrates 40 years of bringing history to life with a special Anniversary Dinner Train.
Enjoy a two-hour journey aboard our lovingly restored heritage train, pulled by one of our historic diesel locomotives, while indulging in a chef-curated, multi-course dinner catered by Chef D Catering. Guests will be welcomed with fresh, homemade bread at the table and treated to an elegant meal featuring locally inspired flavours, thoughtfully prepared entrées, and decadent desserts, with vegan and dietary options available.
Throughout the evening, guests are invited to explore a historical display inside one of our heritage coaches, showcasing four decades of preservation and restoration efforts. The celebration will also include raffle draws and special anniversary moments along the route.
This experience is more than a dinner, it’s a moving tribute to 40 years of railway heritage, community dedication, and the stories that continue to ride the rails.

Appetizer: Homemade bread and butter. Roasted Butternut Squash and Dried Cranberry in a honey vinaigrette with a Medley of greens.

- Braised Beef Short Ribs with a Demi Glaze, served with Asparagus Risotto
OR - Roasted Chicken Breast with a Pearl Onion Rum Sauce, served with Asparagus Risotto
OR - Lentils with Sun-Dried Tomato in a Sweet Potato Cup (Vegan).
Dessert:
- Caramel Pot du Crème with a Flourless Chocolate Cake and Blueberry Coulis
