The Scenic Rail Wine Pairing Experience

Settle into the charm of our historic railway cars as you travel through the picturesque countryside of Waterloo Region, while enjoying a carefully curated wine tasting and food pairing journey.

All aboard for an elevated journey of flavour and heritage on the Scenic Rail Wine Pairing Experience.

As the train rolls gently along the tracks, guests are welcomed with fresh sourdough bread, whipped herb butter, and seasonal fruit compote to awaken the palate. Then, relax and sip your way through three 3oz pours from local favourite Jakobstettel Winery:

• Unoaked Chardonnay
• Cabernet Merlot
• Sparkling Prosecco

Each wine is artfully paired with rotating boards of gourmet fare, featuring:

• Smoked Gouda, Aged Cheddar, Gorgonzola, Brie, and Local Sheep’s Milk Cheese
• Prosciutto, Genoa Salami, Chorizo, and Traditional Mennonite Summer Sausage
• Fresh Summer Fruits & Decadent Chocolate Truffles

With scenic views outside your window and exceptional flavours before you, this is an event that pairs heritage with indulgence.

Seating is first come, first served. Additional beverages available for purchase. Wine served at server’s discretion.

• Tickets must be booked by July 25, 2025, at midnight. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any dietary restrictions, and we will do our best to accommodate you. Any dietary restrictions or preferences (such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, allergies, etc.) must be noted at time of purchase. We will make every effort to accommodate dietary restrictions, however, accommodation is not guaranteed.

Cancellations

There are no refunds unless the WCR cancels a train. Missed trains or bad weather will not be refunded.
