The Luck of the Rails Dinner Journey

Hop aboard the Luck of the Rails Dinner Journey for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration you won’t forget!

This special heritage train experience takes you through the winter countryside between St. Jacobs and Elmira, where you’ll relax in our cozy Lounge Car while enjoying a thoughtfully curated, Irish-inspired dinner.

Your evening begins with Irish Soda Bread served with whipped herb butter, followed by your choice of appetizer — either a comforting Irish Ale & Potato Soup with baby leek and wild herb pesto or an elevated “Irish” Caesar Salad topped with bacon rasher crisps and shaved Dublin Cheddar.

For the main course, guests may choose between a hearty Roast Striploin of Beef with stout mint jus, whipped horseradish potatoes, and roasted root vegetables, or a flavourful Chicken Florentine stuffed with roasted spinach and sheep’s feta, finished with an herb cream sauce, horseradish whipped potatoes, and roasted root vegetables.
Dessert features a rich Bailey’s Cheesecake, served with a chocolate ladyfinger cookie, along with coffee or tea. As a sweet takeaway, guests will also receive Irish shortbread to enjoy later.
